At SMS Environmental we have a commitment to ensure our commercial activities and those of our clients have the minimum effect upon our environment.

We have a range of services that enable us to enable our clients to work towards this goal, they include:

Water

• Installation of borehole systems and clean water supplies for private or industrial use
• The design and installation of rainwater harvesting systems
• The design and installation of reed bed systems for treating sewage and other polluted water.
• The design and installation of packaged sewage treatment plant.
• Sewage and effluent plant analysis to ensure compliance with discharge consent limits set by the Environment Agency.

Air

Site and boundary assessments to comply with IPPC and Local Authority requirements for:

• Fugative Dust
• PM 10 and PM 2.5
• Acid Gases
• Heavy and Trace Metals
• Organics
• Odour
• Landfill Gases
• Noise Levels (with frequency assessments)

Land

Analysis of the following at our UKAS accredited laboratory:

• Soil gas - measurable parameters include CH4, CO2, O2, CO, H2S, NH3, HCN
• Sediment, silt and soil
• Leachates
• Supernatant
